System monitoring platform

The m.Check system for remote monitoring of a combined hardware and software environment verifies operating system runtime environment parameters on a software level.

m.Check allows remote monitoring of software environment parameters, via Ethernet.

• the number and list of running processes;
• the amount of free disk space;
• the total data received and sent over network interfaces;
• the values of parameters output to stdout by housekeeping scripts, and whether they lie within specified limits.

A feature is provided to force monitored processes to start or terminate.

SNMP traps may be generated by m.Check monitoring agents and transmitted to an external SNMP manager.

For centralized monitoring of the state of a computer system, the monitoring system includes a module that collects data from agents and displays them in the form of WEB/WAP pages, which may be reviewed using any standard WEB/WAP browser.
